I started my professional career after graduating from CMU ( College of Makeup Art and Design ) and started working in Toronto in film and theatre, including wigs for the Toronto Opera Company. I had the opportunity to do makeup for films such as Portrait of a Serial Monogomist and Backlash , which both premiered at TIFF. I have also worked on student and community films and theatre productions where I did everything from beauty makeup to designing and creating prostethics and special effects.

My name is Amy Sorensen but you can call me Amy Bo Bamy if that's easier to remember. I have been a makeup and hair artist for more than a decade and am happy to have a career that I love. I am a mom to a beautiful daughter and I am the first to understand the family /work life balance.  I pride myself and my business on being inclusive to all. No matter your ethnicity, age, gender or sexual identity , I am here for you and to help you accomplish your beauty dreams!

After years of practicing my craft in all areas of makeup artisty I discovered my passion is in the wedding industry . This is where I found my love for making people feel their most beautiful on their special day. While running my own business I taught in the makeup department at Sheridan College for 4 years and really learned how to help others perfect their skills that they can take into the real world. I now teach makeup lessons in home and can even help you organize, clean and shop for your own makeup!
